If you are not familiar with chickens you just dont always know these things. The brahma is a girl because in the dark brahma the boys have a different colored feathering on them and you can see the pencilling on her so its a girl.
The last picture of the RIR I see 2 feathers right before the tail (saddle feathers) that appear to be a little pointy and definitly curling downward. If this trend continues then it is 100% boy.
