Tell me I didn't just buy another rooster

I have more chickens than I know what to do with. Even so, when the flock started picking on poor Old One-Eyed Calico Jack I decided to give him his own place and find him a few girlfriends. I picked up said girlfriends yesterday. One looks a little suspicious to me. What do you think? They are three months old. The guy thought they were a cross between a SLW bantam and mixed Cochins. They could have completely separate parents and not even be "related". He had quite the barnyard mix going on.

If they are three months old I would think two pullets.

Then again, I may be wrong.

At 4 months... I'd want to say 2 girls, but at 3 months, the bigger combed one looks rooish.

You'll probably have to wait to see if their young adult feathers come out as. If you don't see sickles in the next few months, you've got girls, else boys.

My 5-week-old hatchery cochin cockerels already have bigger and redder combs and wattles than that...

So I'm guessing girl!
