They are fun! But maintenance is required.
I love my herd and if I had to do it again, I would still do it! But I would research the snot out of it first.

- Health care. Seasonal vaccination. Weather related illness.
- Shelter from elements.
- Periodic intervals of hoof trimming.
- Predator Prevention.
- Proper diet and "over eaters disease" prevention.
- Routine inspection of Bowell movements and catching evidence of scours asap.
- Having the commitment and stamina to keep up with all the extra responsibility inherited with taking on the care and well being of said goat(s).
- Having enough grassy area and or areas to rotate out for grass to recover.
- Some plants and shrubbery can be toxic to goats. Is your said area ready and researched to seek out these dangerous foil ages?
