Tell me I'm not the only one with a webcam in the coop...

I get the eye-roll for every enhancement I make to the coop, and this certainly wasn't an exception when I decided to make use of a spare webcam in the coop.

Now if I'm not with them outside, I'm watching them (like right now

at work) remotely. Have I gone off the edge (yet?) or do I still have enough room for some chicken insanity to grow on?

It depends on how many chickens you have and how many coops you have. If you have only one coop, you have plenty of room for more chicken insanity!!!

I'm jealous!! If I had a webcam I would get no work done!! I'm 3 months into my new chicks and I am officially obsessed so don't feel bad.

Oh, I have plenty of room for that kind of growth. I just started with the whole chicken thing so I'm at my initial limit of 3 in our city. The coop/run was made big enough to accommodate more later if we should find adding more a 'necessity', lol.

I'm pretty much obsessing over their comfort and needs more than my own!

We're pretty much at the same pace, mine are at 13 weeks last Friday. I think I'll start to lose it when the girls finally start the egg song!

A webcam in the coop makes you a crazy chicken person?? Seriously not!! When we first decided to get chickens, a webcam was must! LOL There's one on the run, too, but it's pretty limited on what it can see right now. Hubby is working on that...

For the coop:

For the run:

For both:
username is guest
password is chicken

Not much to see in the coop right now. They are all outside! And the run camera is not in a very good position right now, nor is it completely focused correctly. Working on that....

WELL.... Mines not really a web cam! LOL but I do have a security cam with night vision in my coop and 1 in the brooder and 1 looking out over the run! Does that count? I got a really good deal on a security system from an out of buisness store. I have the 4th cam looking out over the porch and driveway. I can add 4 more and see all at once or 1 at a time. I can even set it to only transmit/record when motion is detected. Its a fancy system! I got VERY lucky!!!

God Bless!

After we put our chicks in the coop yesterday, my husband said "now I have to set up a webcam"....
We already had one for the brooder.

LOL... I would have had one for the brooder but I couldn't find the darned cam! Still looking for the other one that'll probably be in the run.
