Yes it is. I'm soo looking forward to things getting better. Maybe 2012 will be the year.

Rough year here too. Though I can see the order of things that happened, it was layed out well enough for us to survive. Gave us a good struggle to deal with, but there is plan for us in the end. I just wonder what it is. I would love to know and have it be over.

In the meantime though, shove forward and do what we can to make someones day a little easier, right?

I would love to meet MFB. I would love to meet you too, and there is actually a chance of that happening in the future. We show rabbits and many shows are up north.

I am in the high desert in SoCal, Hesperia. Several shows are in San Jose, Monterey, places like that. Ken needs a job before we travel for shows, but he WILL eventually get one. I HAVE to meet Linda. She has been my angel.

I am a bit surprised anyone would want to meet me and my family though. I'm touched. Ya'll have each made my day.

I had my doc's appointment today and in the process I found out I lost 36lbs and 8 inches off my waist, I haven't changed anything and I wasn't even trying, so...that was good!!

I got to spend the whole day with my funny little ones and dh bought me an air compressor kit with nail guns etc for my coop projects and 330 feet of game fencing.

I got to snuggle in bed after lunch with my 2 younger babes and my dh and ACTUALLY took a nap. (restful indeed)

TODAY WAS AN AWESOME DAY!!!!

My two leghorns both gave me their first egg today. We bought them in April with two buffs and now we are waiting for the buffs to start laying. So my wife's birthday was yesterday and she got two first eggs from our chickens

something good that happened to me today...

.. I homeschool my two children 12th and 6th grades.. and for earth science there is a part for them to do animal behavior, genetics and animal husbandry. ( at different levels of course) and had just mentioned it to my chicky friends on the sc thread and a lady from Greenville had a roo that needed to be re-homed. black pure bred americauna,, I just happened to have a meeting in Greenville only 10 min from her .. so I am 1/3 closer to their project, that will take them all year threw to may. I now need 2 pure bred americauna hens, they will be banded and their eggs will be hatched to fulfill their hypothesis on what colors they will throw.. ( there is so much wonderful genetic information her on BYC that we are going to be able to use the knowledge and experiences of fellow Byc'rs to add to their project.

so a very good thing happened. I was able to help out a chicken friend who couldn't keep roosters and my Son is all ready getting attached to his new rooster.. its a good day...
