Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today.

I'm late in this game, but it makes me smile so I'm thinking I'm going to throw a few in...

I turned over the dirt in 1/4 of our new garden spot with a shovel and buckets of sweat. My son "helped" which means he was digging a hole at the edge of my fencing as an escape hatch for the ducks so they aren't trapped on the outside.

My daughter slept until 8:30 today. Just gotta get her brother on board with that... 5:30 am is way too early for high energy 4 year olds.

4 loads of laundry washed, dried, folded, and (the biggie) put away.

Lastly, I think one of my 7 day old turkey poults was trying to figure out the whole gobble thing today. He was strutting and displaying all over that brooder today and the strangest little noise came out of him. The look on his little face was probably the same look I had on mine. The "was that what I thunk it was?" look. Yes, I said 7 DAY old.

Yes Debi.... Do share your "thing for tomorrow." In some places it's already tomorrow. :D

Dear me..... Something good that happened today.... That means getting around all the yuck...

Well... For one thing I'm alive... and I got kisses from my horse. Those are good things.

I did some weeding & planting in my garden, which helped ease the pain from having a tooth pulled (dug out with a jackhammer yesterday). I planted raspberries, Chinese Fuzzy Melons, cantaloupes, carrots, lettuce, morel mushrooms, flowers (forget-me-nots and hibiscus) and saffron. :)

A few weeks ago I saw someone with a BYC bumper sticker on her car and we got got talking. Conversation ranged from chickens to knitting. She wanted to learn how to knit socks so we have been meeting for coffee and I have been showing her how to knit socks. Today she finished her first sock. It has been so cool to watch someone turn yarn, basically string, into warm foot wear for the first time. Thank-you BYC!

Today something good was that my husband fixed the sunroof in our car so it shuts again!!! the motor had broken and it was stuck open and raining in my car. I had to cover it in plastic and was not enjoying driving in the rain in Oregon very much. But he fixed it and nothing is moldy or rotten thank goodness! Thank you DH!!! my commute and our car are saved!!!

With all the rain we have been having a stuck open sun roof would be a very wet ride, add plastic and oh my it must have been noisy! You know what fixing it means? We will get a week of sunshine now!

My chicks arrived today, all alive, even the spare! I just went to the brooder to say "hi" and they scattered to the far corners in a flash! Made me laugh (which probably scared them more!)

And my replacement cell phone arrived. Been out of touch for 2 weeks. Just charging it up now.
