Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today.

Quote: You should write them all a letter explaining the benefits of guinea fowl and include a bunch of info on the enormous increase of Lyme disease cases and how the ticks are more numerous this year. They might not mind a few guineas roaming around if they keep the ticks at bay.

After being cell phone-less for 2 weeks, and a 2 hour 15 minute set-up/problem solving phone marathon, Net10 got it working with all my missing minutes and my original phone number. And I got them to give me 60 free minutes for my aggravation.

Plus all 26 of my little chicks made it through their first night in their new home!

c'mon, Debi - share! It's close to tomorrow...

I am SOOOO sorry to disappoint!!! Our feed store said that BO chicks were arriving, so I made Ken leave his fishing pole with the SIL and drive to the feed store. They did NOT have BO chicks. We want BO's. BUMMER! So we will order them ourselves.

My good thing - I am on vacation next week and we are going fishing together.

Earlier this week, I received an e-mail from a company with whom I had applied for a job more than 3 years ago. I completely forgot about them. I thought, what the heck, I'm less than satisfied with my current employer, might as well see what they have to say after all these years. I filled out their online "paperwork", took their knowledge and practical skills test, and had a phone interview earlier in the week. Today, they tendered me an offer I am probably not going to refuse. We just have to wait and check on computer compatibility, but as long as it's a go, I'm accepting the position. It's hours and pay I want, a bit more than what I'm getting now. Booyah.

I will give them my answer on Monday, but it's most likely going to be yes. It's like it was meant to be.

CONGRATS!!!! That is always good news. There is nothing worse than working at a place you can't stand. Been there before.

Don't know if this is good news, but I went down to a local gardening center to say hello to their rabbits, and their chickens. A pretty golden laced Wyandotte walked up to me, so I stuck my finger in the run to pet it, and apparently it thought that I had food. It started to cluck, and when I looked up, the other seven chickens ran up to the front of the run, and stared at me, clucking endlessly. I walked to the other side of the run, and the same Golden Wyandotte walked up to me, and started the same commotion all over again.

I ran to the car because the workers probably thought I threw a rock at them or something. Now, most people wouldn't think of this as a good thing, but I am strangely pleased with my experience!
