Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today.

I tilled my gardens today. DH wanted to go to pick up a few groceries and take the motorcycle, it turned into a lite lunch at one of our favorite local eateries, and a couple hour 'detour' around the main roads, lol. We integrated our 5-6 month old pullets into our main flock, and they're getting along better than we expected. Finally, my in-law's came over for dinner. A great end to a great day!

Added more dirt to my potatoes and watered them. Fed and watered the ladies and gentlemen. Gathered 6 eggs. Went out and got some free stuff off of craigslist and then took my son driving on his permit. Collected 1 more egg. Played a video game with son. Collected one more egg. Good day all in all.

I bathed the dog and went fishing for two hours. I also stained the deck. Overall it was a good day!

My three year old, was telling me this morning that his dad (my DH) was standing on the trash in the trash can trying to pack it down and I responded saying "yesterday?" and his response to me was "all my troubles" then I finished with "seemed so far away." My DH was amazed that our 3 year old knew the words to that song even though he probably hasn't heard it in a few weeks and my DS was pretty proud of himself. I thought it was adorable. He's a big Beatles fan at only 3 years old, his favorite song is Let it Be.

It is really hard to find anything good about my day. It's been horrible. But, I guess the 85 degree weather was nice. I also got to spend some time out of the house, and walk around my small town.

It was too windy for me to work today (painting contractor), so I replaced the brake pads on both of our vehicles MYSELF! Saved about $150. Turned a bad day into a great day!

That's a great accomplishment! Don't you just love saving money and learning a new skill at the same time?

It was an absolutely, stunningly gorgeous day here and the whole day was just like a slide show of beautiful as the winds blew the clouds past, the sky was so incredibly blue and the sun gilded the new, bright green leaves on the trees. Like a piece of Heaven accidentally dropped down to Earth and I got to see it all! That was my one good thing...well...a whole day of a good thing!

Thank you, it did feel great! My dad has always told me,"A penny saved us a penny earned." I thought I understood what he was telling me but I really didn't until my wife and I had our FOURTH child. Maybe I'm a slow learner lol. Like I said, it was sooo windy (50mph gusts) today, but watching our kids and their friends play in the yard while I earned my penny made it a great day. Closer to sunset the wind calmed a bit and my wife and I let the chickens out and enjoyed a beautiful sunset while the kids were inside, washing my topsoil down the drain.
I'm glad you had a great day, too!
