Hello Everyone,

I'm not new BYC and caring for chickens in general.
In february we bought 6 sex-link pullets from our local TSC.
When they were chicks we could tell them apart with ease because of their markings but
now that they are older, three of them look too alike for us to tell the difference.

Is there something we can put on them to tell them apart? Something that they won't pick at?
We've discussed using different coloured ribbons for each one, but are worried they might pick at the ribbon and pull it off, or that the ribbon may cut off circulation to their feet.

Any suggestions on what to use and/or where to get it from would be apprectiated!

Thank youuu~

Zip ties around their legs?

x2. you can purchase actual leg bands (with identification numbers etc) for poultry, but i know many people (including myself) use zip ties instead since they're more readily available. you just have to be sure you set them fairly loose and keep an eye on them as they grow to be sure they don't outgrow them and replace them if they start getting even remotely tight. should be pretty easy to find 6 different colors to help you ID your birds.
