We have 7 purebred Australorp chickens, all 5 months old. We know we have one rooster for sure, but one of the hens is starting to look and act like a rooster. "She" crows (not very well), her comb is bigger than the other hens, but not as big as the roosters, and she is built really odd like, almost in between a hen and a rooster. This chicken has got us really confused, please help!

Could be a late developing rooster, but it doesn't sound like it . It sounds like neither of her her ovaries developed. Without a anything do drive her hormones female, she is reverting towards the male pattern. Just a a caponed cockerel takes a different look then a full rooster. Interesting to see how she/he turns out.

Yes, those are both roosters. Autumn has nice hackle feathers. His comb is developing well. I think the saddle feathers from what I can see are rooster as well. The other cockerel probably started to develop earlier and may have suppressed his crowing.

I'd say Roos on the SLWs they look just like my Roo at that age.
