Temp adjustment wait time on LG 9300

What is the general rule on temp adjustments on a LG 9300 with fan and turner? Ie if I adjust up or down 1 degree, how long should I wait to check the new temp and adjust again? Thank you so much!

If you are just setting eggs then I'd give it four hours before adjusting, that should give the eggs time to come up to temp internally. If you are adjusting temp for eggs that have been incubating and just need to bring temp up, I would think it should regulate within an hour.
Do you have your own thermometers in the incubator? The digital LGs are known to be off on their displays.

Great thank you!

I have a LG glass thermometer (mylar backed) right now, and an "incutherm plus" coming in wednesday from incubator warehouse (thermometer/hygrometer combo with a probe to fit into vent holes). They had really good reviews, so i assume it will be much better than what i have at the moment.

Anyone have any opinions on the incubator warehouse brand thermometer/hygrometer combos?

Just out of curiosity, how close is the glass one to the LG's display?

Well, i just installed the 7300 fan kit about 5 hours ago, but its finally holding a steady 99.5°F in all quadrants (for the last hour anyway...suppose tomorrow morning will be more telling if its still holding steady). Set temp is 104° on thermostat.

That is the biggest problem with those models. I don't know very many people that have gotten that model that have not had to set the bator 2-4 degrees to get it to the right temp inside. And many of them found the hygrometer display fairly worthless.

Thats what i gathered from other posts as well. I had attempted to return it to the farm store i purchased it from, but they wouldnt do it. I found a turner on craigslist for 10 bucks, and just installed the fan kit (28 bucks from another farm store). Its not ideal, but i suppose itll hatch as well as any other as long as the temps and humidity holds...ill just have to get that done the hard way, but the end result should be the same.

Few more months and ill buy me a gqf sportsman 1502 digital and REALLY have too many chickens...

Lol right.

As long as you know the faults and adjust for it and it holds a steady temp and you have a good humidity range, you can make it work. I hatched 2 1/2 years in an old Little Giant 9200. Awesome hatches 85-100%. It was more work, more monitoring, less sleep but it was doable. The problem with the 9300 and 10300 is people trust them not knowing the reputation they have and loose their hatch.

I stand corrected, after getting a "incutherm plus" from incubator warehouse, it seems the LG thermostat isnt near as far off as i had thought (lid unopened approx 24 hours in pics). Area temp room temperature. 2 water trays filled.
700

700

Also, both LG probe and incutherm probe on top of eggs, within 1/2" of each other.

Dont get me wrong, im not arguing LG is better than HB (ive got a 1588 on the way to me as we speak), im just correcting bad info i had put out.
