Temp at top of eggs? or on wire?

Hi there,
Me again ....

Just wondering if I take the temp from the one on the top of the eggs or the thermometer on the wire rack?

I'm getting different readings

Top of the eggs. For still air you want 102F at the top of the eggs, for forced air you want 99.5-100F.
