temp got high

Last night a pillow got put over my incubator and temp rose to 115. My eggs were due to hatch friday and most all of them were alive and well.. What are the chances they still are?

Wow 115? A lot of people freak out about 104. The research shows that eggs can withstand temps of 108 for short periods without any detrimental impact of embryo development. It says nothing about 115 though. Candle them and see if they are still alive and let us know.

I've had turkey embryos die from exposure to heat much less and for no more than six hours. I hope you let the excess heat out by leaving the lid off for a while (if they were not pipped, you can get the humidity back even in lockdown). Good luck and keep us posted.
