Hello

I would trust the old Mercury thermometer. After several problems with thermometers, I went digital. I had a big problem with the thermometer that came with the incubator... The backing slid and it was reading 4 degrees higher than it actually was. There is a tiny staple if I am correct, on the thermometer to hold it to the backing. It may have slid like mine and screw everything up. I lost a batch last year because of it. Try to get a digital (accurite puts out a good one).. Hope this helps..

We use three thermometers in different sections of the bator and use the average to keep an eye on temp. 2 are digital. There are two humidity sensors. A little over kill, but we already had them all, why not.

Our average humidity so far has been in the 40-55% range. The majority of the time is stays around 45% in the homemade one.

So far so good. We have a week to go.
