I put the eggs in the incubator at around 2:00 yesterday. When I came into the classroom, the temp. was 114 degress, humidity 17%. Will the eggs still be okay? The temp was fine when I went home after school, so I do not know how long it was so hot.

114 is pretty hot! Depends on how long it was that temp. I guess this is a small table top unit. Most of them are pretty dependent on the room temp. If the temp changes much in the room then the temp in the bator will not be steady. If there is sunlight that hits the bator at anytime of the day, that will also cause a spike! Did you run the bator for a day or two empty to make sure you got the temp stable? Is it still air or a forced air bator?

My toddler uped the temp on my hovabator a couple of days ago and it was at 108 for about 2 hours and I just candled them and they are still alive so maybe yours have a chance to... What day are yours on? Mine are chicken egss and they were only on day 3 when it happened to them and I see veins now so some must have survived... If you are worried about it candle them and if development has stopped get some more eggs and start over for the kids sake... I'm sure someone on hear will donate eggs to a class room if you need some more... Good Luck...
