Went to bed last nigh everything was fine. got up this morning fan was burnt up and lower light was out. Bottom rack was 93 top rack was 125 thank there is any chance? I think the bottom might have a chance to hatch late but I think the top ones are cooked.

Oh no... I'm sorry to hear. Mine spiked to 106 earlier for a short time. I am hoping not too much damage is done. My temps keep fluctuating between 98-102. Holds 102 for most of the time. I am hoping this is ok?? I wish you the best of luck with it. Let me know how it goes. Have you candled them? How far along are they?

How long until they were supposed to hatch ? I've had spikes before and tha later in their developement + short time of the spike ,
some may still br ok ,, my latest 'handbuilt ' incubator has a small temp problem but it's only spiked to 104 once for a short time, it usually stays between 99 and 94 , after this run I'm changing theromostat , got one out of a water heater in it now got it off of ebay and it was supposed to be an ''electronic incubator theromostat'' , when I got it in my hands it is a bi-metal water heater unit with a
+/-/5 degree seperation in operation .
Good luck with the spike and let us know what happens .

I don't candle till I take them out of the turner on day 18. The morning I got up was 17. I candles and put in bator to hatch. I had 29 eggs that I could not see anything in they where completly dark. This sucks 29 good eggs that are probably cooked. Will let you know if any make it. They are due to hatch Monday. I reall think there is no hope. But I guess I will try.

I had 9 eggs hatch and in the confusion for the first time hatching the temperature increased to ~103°F, maybe a little higher than 103°F. I opened an egg today and it was dead inside. I am afraid that I have cooked my remaining eggs. This is day 22 and most started hatching on day 20. I have 15 eggs left. Any suggestions from anyone?

Thanks

You never know...I had real high spikes for real log periods of time (3-4hrs.) during my first hatch and still 50% hatched !!! Just b/c the temp was high doesn't mean that the eggs at the same temp...it takes them a while to reach the same temp as the bator. You also don't know how long it was aI say leave them be and see what happens!
