Currently using a heat plate but I was wondering if a temperature controlled room would work for brooding chicks?

Currently using a heat plate but I was wondering if a temperature controlled room would work for brooding chicks?

Chicks only need 1 warm spot and the remaining space be cool. A heat plate is a great way to brood chicks.
A temp controlled room would likely not be practical and the chicks would have no way to cool down. Plus, depending on how old - you're looking at quite a hot room.
