Obviously every gander and goose is an individual and within every breed and variation of breed there will be individuals from every position on the temperament spectrum. That said as a general rule some breeds do tend to be more or less aggressive than others. Which brings me to my question. I'm curious as to the experiences of others who have raised both American Buffs and American Blues/Lavenders. Have you found your blues and/or lavenders to be slightly more aggressive than the buffs?

I have Buff and Lavender . My gander is lavender and the girls are buff. No difference in temperment . He is extremely docile. Love em. I also have Sebastopol geese and they all act about the same.

My American blues are sweet not very loud and not mean to me at all. They are still young 5ish months old. I do think they will get a little meaner during breeding season.

I have a male/female pair of lavenders, and I chose them because of the "buff temperament". They are both big chickens LOL. Petey the gander can get a little testy if he knows you but is not bonded (ask my daughter) but otherwise he runs screaming. I'd recommend them highly for docile temperaments, as is typical with the american buffs.
