7 total hatched out fine. Two with help from me. The eighth I thought was a dead egg and opened to do an eggtopsy and found it wasn't dead although it wasn't moving. It did okay for a little while and then died in the incubator after a while. I will be kicking myself for it. There were two that were dead in the egg and I hadn't seen movement for while, and I lost a fourth that internally pipped but was very mushy and gushy and definitely too wet. It's funny because the other chicks were all fine but that one definitely was water logged in the shell. I am a little bummed because I came back from running errands this afternoon and one little baby was in the corner behind the waterer and was all cold. I moved her back under the light and am keeping an eye on her but she seems to not be able to keep her head up at all. She is trying to walk with her head down in between her legs. Other than that she is bright and alert. Not sure what to do about her. All the other chicks are doing well and are huge.
The one on the far left is the one I am concerned about. She keeps trying to walk and seems to really want to move around like the others but her head is down on the floor in between her legs like she has no control over the muscles in her neck.
Any thoughts?
I will definitely try that. I actually got it to eat some of the duck feed today but getting the others interested and sprinkling it in the water. The little sick duckling was right next to the water and started eating the food in the water too. Now it is moving more and seems to be doing a little better. I did give her some save a chick since I had that on hand here and that seemed to help a bit too. She is moving about and holding her head up a little better but is shaky and gets tired quick. He's weak and could be lacking Niancin. with my ducks I use Vitamin b Complete, I put one pill in a quart of water for there first five days. For that one if you have some poultry drench, give him a couple of drops should help kick him into over drive. SORT OF SPEAKING.
He will take an extra day, then that head will go up in the mean time, I would definitely get some poultry drench and give him or her a couple of drops.
I have my first external pip!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, here comes the FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing from the others still this morning but the one has cracked a bit further. No hole yet, just a pushed up crack. Humidity starting to dipped down to 65% now.
OK, the others will come as soon as this one gets out, then it's like dominos. BOOM BOOM BOOM be patient.. LOL
I do have both of those but I also have poly vi sol. I read the package this morning and it has 8mg of niacin so I gave that to her this morning. When I got home tonight I had a hard time telling her from the others she was doing so much better. Her legs are together the way they should be and she is keeping her head up. She is still a little shaky if she is active for a while but I sprinkled food in her water and she is drinking and eating now with the others. My only concern is that she is having a hard time righting herself if she flips over. But that seems to be happening less and less now. Last night it happened about every 15 to 20 minutes or so. I ended up sleeping with her on my chest so I could actually doze since if I left her in the brooder she would flop on her back and couldn't get back up.YES, save a chick is good, I wasn't sure what you had on hand, do you have the electroclytes and probotics?? if you have both packages, mix both in a gallon of water and give the little guy some, that should do the trick
