I have 4 fully feathered four month old silkies living their best life in my entry room. We are having an unusually cold and windy winter. I’ve been waiting for warmer temps to move them with the others but even days it gets above freezing it drops down to -10 or more at night. The coop can not be heated since there’s no electricity near. We are leaving for a week and I don’t know what to do 😭 plus they are getting so big and messy I’d like to move them for their sake and mine. I’ve read they deal with cold temps very well but I’m so worried the major drop from 65-70 to freezing cold will make them sick. As far as water we go up 3 times a day since it freezes. I raised them from eggs and they’re precious to me.

Is there a friend/relative you can ask to take them for the week you're going to be gone? Someone to come to your home to take care of them?
