temperature/fever

yep he always had a good quality food, and we've been adding vitamins electrolytes probiotic, yeast and the booster from harrison...I'm even afraid I may poison him with all that! His feathers are shinny...he's been putting a lots and lots of feathers...that is just crazy all the feathers he's been growing.

The molasses flush works fast. I have used the Espom Salt flush for crop impactions and sour crop and it worked well for these, however I have never had to flush for any other type of toxins.

Can you upload some pictures of him? His face and comb, entire body, upclose of the legs?? Maybe there is something I can see.

And you still should post this as well in our emergency section for more input that I am giving you. Lots more people with lots more ideas.

He doesn't look like he ate something toxic. Could he have hit his head on something? This looks like it could be neurological in nature. Time can heal head injuries but it can take a couple of weeks. He sure is wobbly. Doesn't look like Mareks and his eyes look good. Still could be defiecient in certain vitamins. Especially B's E and selenium. That makes them very weak in the legs. These vitamins really really make a difference with weak birds. I would not consider this bird needing to be put down just yet. But this is just my humble opinion.

I just don't know enough. I urge you to put this in our emergency section with these videos too for more help. There are others out there that know way more than I do.

Here is the "start a new thread page" in the emergency section....https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/threads/add/forumId/10

If can think of ANYTHING, I will definitely let you know. But please keep us posted, I am not only curious but I do hope he survives!! He is such a pretty boy!!

You can give birds nearly all human vitamins however dosages vary on things. I have given Caltrate with D3 in it for egg layers that refuse to put a shell on their eggs. The dosage for Caltrate is half a pill once a day. I break up the pieces and put them in raisins and the bird doesn't even know they have been medicated.

You should also get him on a good poultry supplement. SO many minerals react with each other to work better. Certain breeds of birds are prone to lacking in vitamins. Parent birds can pass down weakness to their offspring. Nearly every Silkie on the planet needs extra vitamins for weakness. Other bantam type birds as well.
