Temperature fluxuations in homemade incubator

So one has hatched, pretty quick too. They would be 21 days tomorrow at 8 pm. Would I need to adjust the temp? it is still the temp that it has been the whole time, I just worry that it is to hot. I left the fan on, and I can't get the humidity up to 60, it is at 52 or so.

Thanks for all the help to get this little one into the world!

two more are piped.........

Should I mess with it since it is in lockdown? Or just wait to see if any more hatch? I did just get the humidity up to 60, but supect that the hatching chick helped with that

I have a second that hatched this morning and a third that is trying to zip. It was funny to watch the first one help the second zip, it came out faster!

Update! I have 7 hatched with one that is trying to now. One was born with a big red thing hanging off the back. Not sure if that one will make it :( but it is trying. It is hard to keep up that humidity!

Final count is 12 viable chicks that pipped. 8 were hatched yesterday, 1 overnight, 1 this morning and 2 could not zip and "shrink wrapped" :( Not sure that the one this morning will make it, I had to help it finish zipping and hatch. It is resting now, we will see if it makes it. I am pretty sure one of the chicks wont make it :( So it looks like I have 8 good chicks! I have Black Java/Buff Orpington mixes and Buff Orpingtons. The Blacks ones are up and eating, drinking and messing around, the Buffs are a little slower, not eating yet. I still have two in the bator drying.

Thank you for all of your help through my first incubation! I think 12 pipping is excellent and at least 8 chicks nice, although that kinda ruins my plans to get some Easter Eggers! I live in Ohio and have to buy 6 from the feed store! LOL Maybe next year........

That's good
