I haven't dared to put eggs in yet. I've left the lid closed, it takes about 4 hours for temp to drop to 95

Try filling a ziplock with warm water and put that in there and see if the temperature stabilizes.

I will try it, thank you! You are correct, the only difference between incubators is that this one is empty...

Let me know if that works. I think it just needs a heat sink, so to speak.
