Temperment of Lavender Orpingtons

I saw a local listing for Lavender Orpingtons, Project, 4th generation.

Are there any temperment concerns with the Lavenders vs. the Buffs?

I have two barred rocks in the brooder, and I am expecting two Americaunas and two buff orpingtons before the end of the month.

I have one lavender orpington pullet I hatched from eggs from a member here on BYC. I had two, but gave one to my mom as a present. I'd say her temperament is just as calm and easygoing as any buff. If you're on the fence, go ahead and get the lavenders. They're just as sweet as any other orpington variety!

I agree. I have just started with orpingtons. Just hatched 3 lavenders last weekend and they are very sweet babies. I am getting buff babies in a week. Loving the breed!!!!!!!!!!!
