My parents put the chicks we're watching in this dog kennel, and my uncle seems to think they can escape it. Can a chick fit through these holes? Holes are about 1"1/2-2" wide

How old? a chick could easily fit through there up til about 2ish months, depending on breed.

2weeks. They are the pure black ones.

That'll never hold them. They'll fit through those gaps easily.

Is there any way I can temporarily make it escape proof?
