I bought a digital LG, still air, egg turner off someone. I wrongly assumed the temp was correct since it was digital (I know, I’m reading how moronic I was). On day 1, I tested the temps and they were actually around 98. Day 2, around 99-101. Day 3, 100. No matter what I set the incubator to (example it’s on 104 now and still 100.4 in reality), it won’t up the temp. I have a new incubator coming in tonight. But with this in mind, have I damaged my eggs with these temps or are they probably fine being the first few days? I know to aim for 102 for still air, correct?

In a still air the aim should be 101.5 at the top of the eggs because the air inside the bator will be slightly warmer at the top than at the bottom of the eggs, thus meaning hopefully the core of the eggs will be 99.5. With your temps the embryos will likely have survived but the hatch may be delayed. I would candle them when you move them to your new incubator as you should be able to see veining by day 3-4, just to be sure they have survived. Providing your new set up is the right temp, your eggs will probably hatch a day or so late.
