“I- I am?” I asked oddly, staring at the teenager with a tattoo gun.

“Yeah!” She said, acting as if I should have already known. “Pick out a design!” She squealed, handing me a piece of paper with fifty patterns on it.

“Maybe just a very small butterfly?” I asked, handing her the paper.

“No!” She said, sounding mad. She turned to the tattoo artist, “She would like a very large skull.” She corrected.

My eyes widened, “No! No I would not!” I said.

“Ignore her, that’s what she wants!” She said, pointing to a disfigured skull on the paper.

I rolled my eyes, and waited for Jenna to finish hers. She got an arm full of designs, most of them being flowers. “Flowers? Jenna, really?!” I said sarcastically.

“Hey!” She said, jokingly punching my arm. “You’re up next.” She giggled, pointing to the chair.

I sighed, and sat down.

“Where would you like it?” The teen asked.

“Do a super large one, covering her whole arm!” Jenna squealed.

I thought about it. I didn’t want to seem like the outcast. I wanted so badly to fit in. “Sure.” I said, nodding to Jenna.
