The six new chickies are 10 days old today, and so much bigger than they were at one day! I've got names for them all now, I think.

I am going to make a roost bar like yours. I would have never thought of that! You are fortunate to have found that brooder at a good price. I sure wish someone was selling used brooders around here at a reasonable price, I would love to have another one.

I know. It was quite the deal. We got the brooder, plus the feeder we have in the big coop now and a water fount, for half the price the brooder alone would have been. So glad I thought to look on Craigslist!

I used the roost bar (well, 2 because we had more chicks in there last year) last year, and they seemed to love it, so I put it back in this year.

They are so cute! When I went to get my 2nd batch of chicks I was amazed at how small they were... I couldn't remember my first batch ever being so small, but they were... they do grow very fast!
