Tenn red: boy or girl?

Enjoy!

To me there is no sound more relaxing than a covey of bobwhite talking and maybe a pair of doves cooing on a nice fall evening.

UPDATE!!!
I came home from my vacation to find my new little red was doing very good. It was trying so hard to figure out how to get into my duck pen. I guess it needed some company. I ended up going to my Dep. Chief's house and getting some regular bob whites from him. I got 3 roos and 5 hens that were 17 weeks old. When I got home, the red met me at the door of the pen. I put the cage down with the new ones in it and opened the door. The red went right in and made herself at home. After about 3 minutes they all made it out of the cage and started milling aroung together like they were raised together. I never knew that quail made so many noises. They are kinda cool. I guess the red did not get the memo about being agressive. I still wish I new for sure if it was male or female... anyway here a few pics of the happy covey.

Thanks Missi, I was just out there sitting and watching for a few minutes and feel pretty sure red is a girl. I saw him/her get submissive with a bobwhite roo and layed lown, then he climbed on his/her back. The roo slightly grabbed the back of red's neck and then stepped off. Looked like they were mock mating. I haven't seen this with any other of the birds... Red does stay with this roo more than any of the other birds.

glad to see you have a happy covey there. I would say if the red is staying with that roo and laying down for him it's a female. She will just produce bobs with more of a red color/tinge but it will probably show inconsistantly.
