It was taken on my way from Elizabethton to Johnson City

Oops! I was wrong.... Been a long time since I was in that neighborhood - back in the 60's in fact. I went 2 years to college at ETSU.

Darn, I wish I could come. DH is teaching a broom making class on the second and third weekends in April and I'm his designated (unpaid) helper. Maybe we can come up with other meetings in the near future.

I'm thinking about going to the SW Virginia swap on April 3 in Marion, Va. We tried it last fall and rain and cold temps ended the swap almost before it began. Is anyone else planning to go?

Hello Tennessee!

Just a reminder that there are still lots of towns and cities right here in Tennessee up for grabs in the BYC Chicken L.O.R.E. Project!

This is a massive undertaking, and everyone is encouraged to participate! Your knowledge of Chicken L.O.R.E. will earn you GFM Scratch, which are good towards new GFM Memberships, Membership extensions, or Membership gifts.

Remember - you don't have to select a city in Tennessee - cruise the selection list and choose any city still available!

Get started now! Click on the Chicken L.O.R.E. link above for all the details, and remember your Project Managers are here to help in any way we can.

Good Luck, and Thanx for Joining In!

the buying club i'm in is through a guy out past Sweetwater who orders for the whole area. during the season, you can do pick ups at the Market Square Farmers Market, but in the off-season you have to do farm pick-ups. because of that, i'm actually trying to get enough people together to do a buyer's club myself. pick-ups would be at my farm in Maryville (out towards the fire tower on Chilhowee MTN). if you are interested, PM me so i can put you on the contact list for when details get a little clearer. there are 3 of us so far and we need at least 7.

i'd love to meet up! pretty much any Saturday is good with me.

in other news, after 5 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day.... I GOT EGGS!!!!!!!!

HI Tennessee,
We think we are interested in moving to Hohenwald Tn and have been researching it online.
Next time I get a few days off we are going to go up and check it out, but it may be a few weeks.
Can anyone tell me about the area? Is it mostly nice ag land with no Meth labs and such in the area?
Know of any land for sale maybe with a pond?river? part woods, part clear. At least 3 acres-or more ++
Is anyone a realtor?

Thanks
Dena: Currently in Alabama
