Terramycin

Nope, I wouldn't and didn't either. All I went into TSC for was pine shavings, and an extra feeder. They tried selling it to me while I was there. I just think TSC is misinformed on the uses of antibiotics, and what they are supposed to be used for.

maybe the reason they sell the terramycin for new chicks is because the medicated feed (which they never have) has amprolium and zinc BACITRACIN of some form. So, they're probably substituting one "CIN" for another? Logically or not?

so how does that work for people who feed nonmedicated...

the chicks don't get amprol in the feed which allows them a bit of cocci and the bacitracin prevents enteritis?? thus building up somekinda immunity? IHNI

It is a joke because people over used it. At one time it worked wonders... but now most bacteria are resistant. Just like penicillin. Doesn't work because overused.

The feed we currently have is made in Michigan. They will only sell local stuff, which I'm all for keeping it local. However, my chicks are not. For some reason they don't like it. Haven't been able to figure out why yet.

That's what I was thinking. If I were a bird, I'd eat it
