terratorial or broody?

Will quail get terratorial in a community pen or is this a new hen getting broody? It attacks any other bird coming into its space. Curious here. I've not gotten eggs yet and the birds are 5 1/2 weeks.

5 1/2 weeks old is normally a half a week too young to expect eggs though some hens do lay that early. As for broodiness are you speaking of coturnix? if so, no. LOL a hen being aggressive just happens every now and then. If they do the "egg call" then you'll know to expect eggs soon.
