Terrible day....My poor Blue Swede babies were attacked :O(

I am so sorry.
Call your local animal control and report it or have the neighbor that saw the dogs report it since they are able to give a description of the dogs.
Good luck to the little one remaining.

That is so terrible. I lost my Blue Swed to a fox last week and felt so bad because she had the sweetest temperment. Its not fair that these things happen. I hope these dogs get caught soon and their owners informed about what they did. We had a black lab get loose from somewhere in the neighborhood last year and he wanted to jump into the pond after my ducks. Well I ran out there with my broom and he took off, lol.
Hope your little one recovers okay!

How awful i am so sorry for your loss! How tragic!

People should learn to keep their dogs put up.

I remember when a couple of neighboorhood dogs actually dug into my chicken coop

I was lucky...my chickens actually managed to escape through the hole the dogs created.
A quick search of the neighborhood turned up all my chickens, injured and scared but in one piece.

One of my favorites (a really friendly rhode Island red I could cradle in my arms)
had gotten its back bitten out, (not to be graphic but you could actually see into the chicken

I really thought she was going to die, but with a little doctoring she actually healed up just fine.

Just to show, birds can be tougher than we give them credit for...

I'm sorry that happened. It must be tough, but if they were stray dogs then they've got to eat too (as horrible as it sounds.). Sometimes life isn't fair. Mother nature is just that way. Taking to give, giving to take.

Thanks everybody-I hope it was a very quick death too. Somehow I think because the head was ripped off of one of them and the feet off of the other that the two dogs were playing tug of war with them.

My sister had the idea to contact our local vet and see if anyone was missing their dogs. In the meantime the vet's office had received a call from the owner's who were looking for them. I was at work when my sister called the owner's and they came to pick them up. I wish that my sister would have told them about my ducks, but she didn't. :O(

My little survivor's feathers have started growing back, but she still has a bad limp. I hope that she gets better....

thanks again!
