So I had some silkie eggs in the incubator. 17 made it to lock down but only one hatched. 5 pipped but never got out. One of those actually zipped 3/4 around the shell but never fully cut the membrane. I opened all the eggs and all were fully developed. 75% of them had about a half inch of air space in the top of the shell with the chick stuck in its membrane below. A couple internally pipped but never cracked the shell. What would have caused this????? I had a decent hatch with my barnyard mix eggs.

Here are some of the eggs I opened.

What were your temperatures and humidity? I have read others say that silkies can be very hard to hatch. I would probably post a question as to what do people do differently to silkie eggs for a good hatch.
