terrible, rotten, horrible, very bad day

Thanks. Hubby thinks I'm silly to miss something that was just a financial drain. Well to him anyway. My morning routine was much easier today tho. The ponies are a lot of work since I owned 2 studs and I would rotate them in and out of the small pasture for grazing.

Yep, times are hard everywhere. When he first lost his job I downsized my chicken flock, I craiglisted 40 birds. Since the hay had already been purchased we weren't worried then. Never thought he'd be outta work this long.

I probably won't go visit, they don't live overly close. They did send an e-mail saying that they made it home ok and they were all settled in.

The shetland that he said I could go ahead and keep is due in a couple of months. So I can get a baby fix until the new owners pick it up. I took a deposit on it last week. They didn't want the crazy momma but would like to be able to interact with the baby from day 1.

On a happy note, I was able to purchase some hatching eggs from here and I checked them yesterday and 8 are looking good, just under a week till they should get here. Nothing like fuzzies to warm your heart.
