I don't think my automatic turner is working! I can hear the purr of the motor, but I don't see it turning. Its the yellow one that holds 42 eggs. What can I do to test it? Right now I have it plugged in and am watching it carefully. I have a pencil on top to see if it turns...?

Am I better off to just buy another turner? I've had this one awhile; would it be worn out?

Don't they only make a complete turn every 8 hours? I can't believe you could see it turning by watching it but you should be able to note it's position, come back in 4 hours and see where it is at.

The numbers on the back of the motor I have read 1/240 rpm I have not done the math off the top of my head that looks like 1 complete turn every 24 hrs

While you figure it out... Rock the whole bator... put something under one edge and then the other... about 4 -6 times a day. I would take the rack out at day 18 and check for defectiveness... i just took an egg rack out because one eggs rack was preventing it from moving.. It was jamming it up... It now works... one egg tray less.
