Tetanus question. Dh is injured

DH was installing hardware cloth and a piece of it punctured his wrist all the way to the bone. This morning it is swollen quite badly. Could it be tetanus?

He hasnt had a shot in at least 10 years.

you need a booster shot every 10 yrs, I'd have him go to the doctor.

He needs a booster tetanus shot if it's been 10 years. Also needs to be checked for infection.......

Yup..have him go get a shot...
tell him he can have a lollipop after if he behaves...

I recetly cut my thumb very badly and wasn't due for a tetanus shot for another year. The doc told me that 10 years is an arbitrary number and because it had been 9 years since my last shot, I was given a booster (yay).

Infection is always a risk for any cut, no matter how it happened. See a doctor since he's having negative symptoms!!
