Texas breeders

Are there any light Sussex and EE breeders in Texas that anybody recommend? I was thinking of going to a hatchery but figured I'd get better quality chickens from a breeder since I really want some good egg layers.

you can usually find good EE's on craigslist. what part of Texas are you in?

I live just a few miles south of San Antonio. I didn't think of Craigslist.

it's where I got some of my birds, they were actually cheaper than the hatcheries and feed stores. also great because you can get as few or as many as they have, and there's usually all different ages available. good luck finding some lovely EE! they're great birds!

I really like that they lay blue,green eggs but I also want the whit Sussex and maybe some wyandottes.

I'm pretty sure the "ameraucanas" ideal has are EE's I have two pullets from them that just started laying green eggs. They are good looking birds,I would post up a pic if I could.
