I was really casual about it, they didn't even know. Went in to grab some cartons...Casually notice the brooder lamp on and the cleaning cart next to it.
"Oh, are you guys getting more chicks in?"

Hehehe.....they we're picking them up then and I couldn't wait around.
So...going in an hour on my lunch! Lets see how far over my goal of 2 I go...any bets?

Beautiful!i want another too. Baron is a show line, no real drive - my husband wants one already"trained" I want a puppy.... We'll see who wins

When you get your puppy check out the lady I get mine form. Excellent breeder and prices. I highly recommend her.

Guys you aren't doing me any favors!!! I love German Shepherds. How well do they handle this hot weather with that double coat?

Isn't he incredible?! I told the breeder that I would be sending her a deposit. I hope I can. Money is still tight but the financial hits finally stopped. Yeah!
Sasha is an indoor dog so the heat doesn't bother her much. I make sure she doesn't get over heated when we are out and give her acess plenty of water. I usually keep her inside during the heat of the day. As for the double coat, it will be all over your floors. They really shed! I use a furmiator on her and that helps a lot.

I think Harley failed that course. Or did he pass with flying colors? Not sure which way to go on this.

Ok...I'm chickless....lol
They didn't have ANY of the ones they said they we're getting in.
They had: RIR, Dominiques, SLWs, Buff Bramas..I think that's it.
No EEs, no anything else :/


I went ahead and picked up a new chick feeder, waterer, and a bag of mealworms for my girlies.
So I'm ordering from Ideal today!
I'll go ahead and get my Faverolles, Orloffs, and EEs.
Anyone have experience with Brown Leghorns?
I would like a few white eggs. I like variety

Yeah..I've never been a Leghorn fan but I wonder if they're kind of looked down upon, because they're so plain Jane...
I cancelled them when I saw they had Australorps available anyway....Those WERE on my list.
Now I'm just trying to check out...the server is painfully slow.
Seriously...I've heard good things about them, but their site is SO awful, it's driving me up the wall. I've entered the billing address 5 times and it keeps saying its not a recognized address....then how do I get mail??

I don't like Ideal's super slow site either. I have high speed internet and it is still super slow.

Yeah on the order!!!! Hope it isn't too hot, but overnight from them isn't too bad. I'd have that special chick electrolyte stuff or some Pediasure on hand for them.
