I'm not sure if I can eat goat cheese or not. I've been told I can probably drink goat milk and eat the cheese but I haven't tried it yet. I'm allergic to some protein in milk....Ohh! Bacon is a good idea!
We did salt, pepper, basil, and garlic
I use a lot of garlic...lol
plus the goat cheese was herbed.
Oh! I don't know if you can have it (or if you like it), but the goat cheese at the farmer's market on Saturdays is AWESOME.
My favorite is the honey apricot, but he has savory flavors too.
I like to make a rosemary goat cheese mac n cheese with chicken...mm...I haven't made that in awhile..since we moved up here actually...
Friday is my first milk pickup!
Paid today, SO excited!!
I figure, worst case scenario, if I don't like the taste, it will make great cheese, butter, and ice cream! lol
But I don't see that being an issue.
When I was drinking milk I went with my dad to his wife's brother's farm in central MN. He is a dairy farmer and does Raw milk. We had their milk for supper. It was so good. Nothing compares to fresh milk. We used to get it at the state fair too. I found out I was allergic to milk after Nathan was born. I've been dairy free (for the most part - I cheat sometimes with stuff, but it isn't worth it most of the time) for 20 years now. I can't say that I miss it, but I would love to have some super cheesy lasagna or pizza at times. Save lots of calories and fat being dairy free.

I'm making that thing for supper. Tomato, bacon, basil, rosemary and s&p. Not big on garlic. I don't think it would work in this either. Maybe I'll add some scrambled egg when it comes out of the oven....
