I like this idea for my run.

The inside is odd. She doesn't have a secure place for them to roost.

I can see a combination of this and a secure coop working nicely in my yard.

I still want my original MetroCoop though.

As for what type of Apple Cider Vinegar to use, any type of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar with mother (It doesn't have to be organic) will work.

Cautions:
Do not use metal water dishes (except stainless steal).
Vinegar should not be used internally with animals that have an irritated lining of the intestinal tract.
Do not use Apple Cider Vinegar wile treating for worms or coccidiosis.

It's a real honest to goodness Texas thunderstorm!!

I learned to add a little ACV to keep water from turning molded green. Are there any other benefit ?

There is also some good info on Fresh Eggs Daily. Seems like a lot of good benefits to acv. Some people give it every day and some only a few times a month. I just don't like the residue it leaves in my water. Just wondering if it's a reaction the acv has with my well water? I think I will continue to use it, but not all the time, and I may skip the hottest months. I would rather my chooks drink lots of plain water than a little bit of acv water. I checked their waterer today, and they have drank a lot more today than any day last week.

It was really, really nice here this morning. It was kinda cool and the wind was blowing. I had my granddaughter today and we were outside most of the morning. She had fun playing in her sandbox.

I got 5 eggs today. My newest layer, Arnet (EE), laid one of the biggest eggs I've gotten so far. Sadly, it's not blue or green, but more of a creamy pink.

At least the landlord has to pay for it. Here is my plumber. He's good and one of the better priced plumbers around. Tomorrow will work for the pears. I have 15 qts picked it you want to take from them. I'm going to get out the ladder and get more soon. I want to make a fruit picker. Maybe I will try that tonight. I think I have everything I need for it.

I got a new lavender plant and it got a good drink before I moved it back under the front porch. I let Kiera put the late egg in the carton tonight. She goes "Mmmmmm! I love those eggs. Gots babies in it!" Then runs off... Nope...no babies in these eggs! Lol She's been wild tonight. Must be the weather lol She surprised me too and really wants a fishing pole to "go catch a trout!" Lol I might go get one of those kiddie ones and take her this weekend if its cooler. I know she wont have the patience for it lol

The mold I get when I don't use it is worse than the gradoo floating around. Gradoo is my daddy's word for crap. Gra is pronounced gra as in bra. And then do as in doo-doo. Hehe you learned something.

Really? I get a small bottle here for 3 bucks..but I only use 1 tbsp a week!
Do you have a Trader Joes there yet?

Heinz has ACV with the Mother and it is less expensive than Bragg's. Walmart has it.

If you do Heinz, read the label carefully, some of their vinegar is only apple cider "flavored" and made from corn. Sneaky sneaky
They make 2 "apple cider vinegars" lol

I put a thread up for the spot on Ava's comb. I'm trying to stay up so I've been reading a bunch..which has me worried it could be the beginnings of fowl pox. I don't have a diaper..i'm not sure how I'd completely isolate her for 3 weeks.
