My chickens were having a lot of fun eating one of my fall pumpkins I had out in the front yard.





I think they did pretty good with their first "Jack-O-Lantern" !! The chickens did that, not I.

Yes actually!!! Hold on I'll find her info.

I HIGHLY recommend getting this breed from a breeder. Hatchery Faverolles are prone to lots of issues (bulge eye, scissorbeak, etc) and very "off" coloring.
I love my hatchery baby but...poor thing, you would never guess her breed lol
I should have held my horses and waited til Spring for them. I lost her sister to scissor beak at about 8 weeks.

She's in Conroe..I wanna say her name is Pam..or Pat?
The Woodlands is stupid and doesn't allow chickens...lol

Welcome! I'm north of Dallas. I've thought about raising quail but I don't really have the room for them right now. I know D&L (McKinney) has quail but not sure what kind. They raise them so they have the eggs-don't know if they would ship to you or not.

Have you tried Craig's List?

Yes, so far nothing in the A&M variety on CL. A few folks selling coturnix eggs.

With all the horror stories of Ebay shipping in BYC, I am tad bit gun shy. =D
