Hi my name is Mary Jo from Texas. I have been raising my chickens for about 2 and a half years, I also have a female turkey and a pair of ducks who have been mates about 2 years and have only successfully raised one duckling. I enjoy observing their different behaviors, a year ago my favorite broody hen was killed and my other hens haven't been hatching chics I'm hoping for a better year and that my flock will continue to grow. Soon I plan to purchase a male turkey so my gobbles doesn't feel so lonely. My husband doesn't agree that they need mates but I see how happy the ducks are to have each other, I want my turkey to be the same way
