Texas Gamebird Regs.

Do any local Texans know anything about the regs for gamebirds in our state? mainly bobs, chuks, ringnecks, and turkeys. another other info would be cool too. thanks

They are covered under Chapter 45 of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code.

You need a license to breed them commercially and a seperate license to release them for hunting. To my knowledge, it is legal to simply own them or to possess them for personal consumption.

But I'd double check with Parks and Wildlife. Just call your local office and ask. I don't recommend calling Austin unless you love the sound of being on hold
