(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I helped my dad with his chickens a little years ago but truthfully not that much.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 10
(3) What breeds do you have? Sapphire Gems
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? So far just how dang cute they are.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, yoyoing, making music, writing, drawing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I recently got married to my lovely wife, we've been together 9 years and we have a beautiful 2 year old girl. We live on 3/4 of an acre and are attempting to transition to a more self sufficient and sustainable lifestyle. We are in the very early stages of said transition but I've been really excited about it.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
saw it a few times when doing research about chickens and heard it mentioned on podcasts. Joined to have a place to get wisdom and ask for advice.
