Texas People Do You Use Artificial Lighting During Winter Months?

I have a question. People all over BYC are talking about using artificial lighting during the winter months. Do any of you who live in Texas or to be more precise Central Texas use artificial lighting during winter to keep your hens in lay? I know we get much more sunlight than people that live up north. I did not use lighting last winter and my girls laid all winter. Any feed back would be appreciated.

Live in East Tx. tried it 1 winter, no difference. decided it wasn't worth it. that and the ladies think the security light is enough. as long as they are happy so am i.
