sulphur springs, tx
well, the wind is blowing like crazy.
power is out all over.

came home today to find my chicken coop blown over. 4 broody millie duccles and their eggs scattered everywhere. hens are mad at the world, but otherwise ok. eggs were busted, the ones that weren't busted were very, very cold.

i used eggs recently layed from other coops and the hens are back on their nest.
there went my duccle hatch for the spring! so aggrivating!

*comfort*

Aw, I'm sorry. I'm glad all your birds were okay though.
It's horrible here, too. Yesterday the wind quite literally blew me off my horse.

Sorry to hear this. Last Fall/Winter our outside fencing fell down due to the weight of the snow. Luckily we got rid of the chickens the week prior. That has to be fixed before our chicks can go out... first have to get chicks at the end of the month.

Sorry this happened.

Scary for everyone I'm sure.

Sorry to hear that .... I hope you can start again.

Winds are so bad here too it keeps blowing my free range girls all over some of them are just staying put in 1 spot and not bothering to venture out.
I will be glad when the wind slows down some they said by 5 PM it would and here it is almost 6 and I swear it has picked up again.

We had a pretty bad storm blow through last night I was worried our power would go out, I have 3 incubators going full blast it would make me crazy if the power went out now after I have come this far...

most of our power was out yesterday from 4 pm until around 10:30. something happened to the transformer behind our house. scared the heck out of me, i thought something was trying to short out in the house! part of the lights completely out, the ones still going were very dim and going off and on. no major appliance worked at all. luckily, incubator still worked, i had a hatch in progress!
