I'm not new to BYC, but when visiting TX would like some advice on places to see. We are based in Conroe, so easy trips from here would help. We'd thought to visit Waco because of the show fixer up, but with the motorcycle gang shootings have decided against it.

We still plan to visit Galveston. We' ve yet to book a place to stay.
