I think this visitor may be looking for IB chicks in CA, not Thangettes.
Although I highly recommend Thangettes to all in search of superior pea bloodlines!!!!!

Thang!! The ultimate "slacker",,"quitter",,noticed 3 nites ago while collecting eggs there was a lot of tail feathers in Thangs pen.First I thought maybe a hen had stepped on his tail while he was trying to walk but the next nite more feathers.So tonight Thang was retired from breeding.He is now in solitary confinment until fall. His harem of 3 hens only started laying good about 3 weeks ago.Just because he wants the season off doesn't mean the hens do,so now Roadtrip is pulling double duty.Wasn't 1/2 hour after Roadtrip was in with his 3 IB hens carrying white that he was displaying. Tomorrow nite Roadtrip will be moved back with the 3 silver pieds and one bssp hen for a day. You can bet he will get used to me handling him and I bet I get hatching eggs from him out of these 3 IB hens tone peacock rotated between 7 hens,,you can bet I'll keep accurate records of this for hopefully the next month. What a Thang.

Oh, that Thang.
His standards are so very high. He's selective about his girlfriends. Doesn't like to overdo things.
Not like that frisky "any old gal will do" Roadtrip.

But:
What about the as-yet-unhatched Thangettes?????
Still shaking and baking????
