Checked tonite and my cheat-sheet has 8 "Thangettes" was put in the group that are due after this weekend.I havn't candled them yet, will do that b4 they get moved to the new hatcher and that will probably result in maybe 2 being good. And both will probably quit. Just the "Thang" track record for 2013.
Wanted to add,Thang had another pile of tail feathers on the fllor of the insid epen he's now in,,so his season seems prematurly over about a month before everyone else.

Threw 3 of the 8 out tonight,,no growth whatsoever,,and I'm sure 2 more arent good,,color inside egg was not super dark,,and within about 5 minutes of the entire tray being outside the bator, they were cooler. I don't know if anyone else can do this but when I candle eggs,,if the tray has been sitting out maybe 5-10 minutes, when I pick the egg up I can tell by it's temp if it's good by if it retains heat,,anyone else notice this??

Yes, I have.

I'm sometimes thinking the self taught-learned issues with peafowl are just imaginative so I bring very few up here ro save ridicule. Many other things I've observed about Peafowl would seem outlandish to some here, just as the cooler eggs not being any good. I've made many observances watching the males and the calls they make and why each sound is made, such as an all out alert or just a reminder their king of their hill.Glad to know my time spent while watching-observing is done by others here too.

Thank you Yoda for jumping in with that astute observation.
I don't want to be the lone and pesty Thang-Fan-That-Never-Shuts-Up, nice to have some support!
